An idea that hatched around a kitchen table back in October 2007 by two brave and motivated women, mother and daughter Sylvie Henry and Danielle Leslie who were both affected by breast cancer and since lost their lives in 2009 & 2010. Since then their friends have continued with Future Dreams and raised a staggering £2million to fund the secondary breast cancer research laboratory at Breakthrough Breast Cancer’s London facility. This new ambitious appeal was launched in February 2015 to raise £5 million.
The Future Dreams Brick Appeal is in partnership with The Haven who are the only National charity to provide free one-to-one emotional and physical support to improve the lives of anyone affected by breast cancer. The ‘Future Dreams House’ will be a landmark centre specialising in breast cancer in the heart of central London, which will look after women and their families. Loyal supporters of Furure Dreams include Mel C , Cat Deeley and Gaby Roslin and brands such as Estee Lauder, Lola Rose, Melissa Odabash, Louella Belle, Essie, OPI and Ocado.
The premise is a simple one. The future dream brick appeal are looking to recruit 1000 builders, each ‘builder’ will have six weeks to sell 250 luxury prize draw bricks, each worth £20, to their friends, colleagues, family members, hairdresser……
And once purchasing your brick it will be entered into The Prize Draw, offering the individual the opportunity to win some fantastic and unique luxury prizes albeit a dinner at Marcus Wareing’s Chef‘s Table, or an overnight stay at an exclusive spa.
Future Dreams believe in a brighter future. Changing the journey for women diagnosed with breast cancer – a place where they feel safe and not alone. This campaign is calling on everyone – not just those who have been affected by this dreadful disease that still blights the lives of one in eight women – to come on board.
